Her Excellency Ms. Birgitta Siefker-Eberle, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Lebanon, visited our school from 3 till 4 September 2012. This was during the visit of the Middle East Liaison Officer of EMS and EVS Managing Director, Rev. Dr. Uwe Gräbe, and EVS Chairman Rev. Klaus Schmid, who visited JLSS from Monday 3 till Wednesday 5 September 2012.
It was the first visit to Schneller School of Ms. Siefker-Eberle, and thus it was an opportunity for her to see our school and visit its various departments. She stayed in our guesthouse overnight and enjoyed exploring our beautiful campus.
She expressed the support of the German Embassy to our school, and was able to see the outcome of German Lebanese cooperation that our school represents.

She conversed with Rev. Dr. Uwe Gräbe, Rev. Klaus Schmid, and Rev. George D. Haddad about all aspects of the Schneller ministry to disadvantaged children. They all assured her that JLSS will always be a safe haven, happy home, good school, and good vocational training center, to all disadvantaged children, irrespective of religion, race or nationality. Its doors will always be open to the poor and destitute, to victims of abuse and war, as much as they are open to local children of our region.

German Ambassador and EMS EVS Visit Rev. Dr. Uwe Gräbe and Rev. Klaus Schmid had previously attended the board meeting in Beirut which was held on 3 September. They had various meetings with the director to discuss the current challenges, needs, and the impressions they heard about JLSS.
They were able to see the recent developments and all the measures that the board of managers and the director are taking to develop the various programs, deal with the various challenges, and ensure a prosperous future for our school and all its children.

We thank Her Excellency Ms. Birgitta Siefker-Eberle, for her wonderful visit and kind support of our school.
We also thank Rev. Dr. Uwe Gräbe and Rev. Klaus Schmid for their visit and tireless work as partners and main supporters of Schneller School.
