GIZ Visit to JLSS on 13 December 2011

The Program Director of GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH) in Lebanon Ms. Sonia H. Fontaine along with Mr. Carlos Nafaa visited Schneller School on Tuesday 13 December 2011. They had a meeting with the director to discuss Dual System vocational training and the long cooperation between our school and GIZ. Attending also was Mr. Joseph Bou Simaan Head of the Vocational Department in JLSS. Rev. Haddad thanked Ms. Fontaine and Mr. Nafaa for the wonderful cooperation and support the GIZ is providing our school. He also mentioned the challenges our school is facing with the Department of Vocational Training regarding launching new programs. The discussion covered aspects of developing Dual System training in Lebanon to include the private sector in order to have the necessary cooperation with the local industries and chambers which is the only way to make this training very successful. Ms. Fontaine and Mr. Nafaa then visited the vocational department and witnessed first hand the excellent facilities Schneller School has for vocational training. We thank Ms. Fontaine and Mr. Nafaa for their wonderful visit, and we look forward to furthering our cooperation to bring vocational training to the level it should reach in order to effectively support the local industries in Lebanon.
